Through our directly supported and managed programs, we aim to extend time spent learning for students during the school year and in the summer while providing leadership development opportunities to talented teachers.
Where students build positive relationships with literacy through the guidance, encouragement, and FUN they have with Big Buddy Mentors.
This six-week summer program will engage over 320 rising K-5th graders in stimulating academic learning, varied enrichment activities, and a teen mentorship program to ensure students have a joyful and meaningful summer experience. The students, or "Little Buddies," will begin every day working on culturally relevant academic projects led by teachers and spend the afternoons attending art, music, culinary, wellness, and STEM classes with their teen mentors, or "Big Buddies."
In addition to increasing educational outcomes for students, Achieve Summer will also offer leadership training and professional development for educators. The goal of the adult advancement component is to strengthen the talent and leadership capabilities of Miami educators. Each site’s Leadership Team will empower teachers and increase their teaching capacity by providing daily professional development, one-to-one coaching, and collaborative planning, while creating a space for educational innovation.
College Readiness Cohort
The College Readiness Cohort (CRC) Program is a FREE program for high school students who wish to attend college, but need help with the process.
In partnership with Teach For America, we build a cohort of collaborative, dedicated and highly effective educators committed to raising the bar for innovation with impact in classrooms across Miami.
Junior Advisory Board
Select student leaders are in a position to make a significant contribution to Achieve Miami’s programs in our partner high schools, as well as in our community programs.
UP! Music aims to provide all elementary school students with access to high quality music education with an emphasis on music theory, creation and performance.
